What are the basic components of an analytical instrument?
The sampling device acts as an introduction to the sample to be analyzed. For some instruments, the sampling device is the sampler. There are two kinds of injector, manual and automatic, usually syringe injector. Sampling devices are much more complex for analytical instruments used in processes. For gas samples, the system must be positive or negative when sampling.
Detector and detection system detector is the core part of the analyzer. The technical performance of the instrument (especially the single component analysis instrument) mainly depends on the detector.
The separation device, "separation", is broad here and is available in various analytical instruments capable of simultaneous analysis of multiple components. It includes not only the separation of sample components, including energy separation, such as optical analysis of optical system in the instrument (or dispersion monochromator, etc.), column chromatography.
The task of instrumental analysis in the pretreatment system should not be limited to static analysis, but also to analytical tests in the process. The pretreatment system is mainly aimed at the analysis of the process flow instrument, its mission is to remove from the reality in the process of sample processing, to meet the requirements of the state of sample detection system, sometimes need to further remove mechanical impurities and water vapor, and sample measuring component interference components, to ensure that the instrument the accuracy of measurement.
