Question:

What are the behavior of Magnetic Sensor and the behavior of Direct Detection Sensor?

What are the behavior of Magnetic Sensor and the behavior of Direct Detection Sensor?

Answer:

Magnetic sensors, or proximity sensors, changes states, (yes/no, on/off, etc.), when material of high permeability, like iron or steel, comes within distance to excite the sensors feeler's, in most cases a coil with a small amount of current going through it which increases noticeably, thereby changing the output of the sensor. Direct Detection sensors are usually comprised of a light beam that is watched by a sensor; when the light beam is broken, the sensors output changes states and an alarm is activated. You see these at stores, and 7-11's.cheaper than the first kind.
Magnetic sensor is going to be sensitive to either the presence of a magnetic material, or that of a magnetic field of some kind. That field could be a static field from a magnet, or the field generated by an electrical device. I may also be sensitive to the disruption of a magnetic field that is in place in a certain area. Direct detection is going to be some kind of device that senses the presence of an object by means of field change, or disruption, or from an emitted signal that is disturbed in some way. The sensor may also use heat detection such as what a person radiates.
