I'm looking to loose weight and gain muscle.i need energy to workout, i used 1.m.r but it gives me jitters and i hate it.
A good Pre/Intra product is Bulldozer Xl5000, I also use it part of my post by mixing it with Gatorade (or Dextrose) and additional BCAAs. I stay away from 1MR and Jack3d because they contain heavy stimulants that can cause adverse side effects not to mention the controversial ingredient 1,3 dimethylamylamine (Germanium) which has been banned in money countries and sport organizations. Bulldozer tastes great, I mix one scoop with water before the gym and consume one serving during my workout (I sip through it as I workout). It helps me improve stamina, endurance, muscle contraction and makes me sweat like crazy (it has Carnitine which helps burn fat by using fat for energy).
Pre workout I'd suggest looking into K-OTIC Intra workout I'd just stick with something like Gatorade Post workout you can have whatever. Most people prefer a protein shake at this time. I'd suggest NF Pro personally, but ON Whey are other highly rated protein powders.
WOW. I never thought a girl would use 1.m.r. Sorry if I'm being judgmental... But if you're already into these hardcore supplements, try Jack3d. Guaranteed the best pre-workout out there and it won't make you crash like 1.m.r. And I would highly recommend that you cycle off your pre-workout supplements. Don't take it more than 2 months and take a few weeks off in between. Otherwise you'll fry your central nervous system. Also, I know these supplements give you lots of energy (as they initiate a fight or flight response in your body), but as a female your body doesn't produce enough testosterone or growth hormones to recover quickly. Make sure to get enough rest and keep your workouts relatively short but intense. As for intra workout, water is your best friend. Stay hydrated and that's all you need. After your workout have a whey protein shake and a banana or 1% chocolate milk. It will help your muscles recover much faster.
YAY!!!! good to hear another woman saying she WANTS to gain muscle - it rocks to have great looking legs and butt and beautifully sculpted arms and abs :-) I'm in a bulking phase and these are the supps I'm taking pre workout: Assault or San Fierce - this a newer brand gaining a good reputation - no jitters, no crash + 5g Creatine MonoHydrate Intra workout: BCAA's Post Workout: 20g 100% pure Whey protein isolate unflavoured 10g dextrose 5g L-Glutamine Bedtime: 100% casein 5g L-Glutamine I add BCAA's to all water I drink - about 3 litres a day hope that helps!
