Well, if you use heat defense spray and shampoo/conditioner it can stay smooththe reason people complain about split end etc, is probably because they straighten it without spray/proper shampoo or conditioner and straighten it every day and make it dead straightat the end of the day, it is her hair and if she takes care of it then it should be fine.

i straighten my hair and it completely ruins and breaks ityou end up with fried split endsi wish i could go back to my old wavy hairi dont recomend straghtening especially if she already has beautiful hair
