What are the reasons why the IDF bulldozers homes in Gaza and in Judea and Samaria?
Generally if the IDF bulldozes a home it is because it was being used as a base of operations to conduct terrorist activity. In the West Bank it’s usually because it was used to house terrorist fighters, in Gaza it’s normally because it was used as a base to tunnel into Egypt.
To make room for the European Jew immigrants
It goes back to the idea of counter value Vs Counter force. Counter value is you threaten the enemy population. The basic idea of MAD, if we get into a nuclear war, we would target the cities of the enemy. Or in the case of Muslims terrorists and Palestinians, you try to kill as many Jews as possible in your attacks. Counter force is you threaten the physical assets of the enemy. The basic idea of a first strike in nuclear warfare. You want to take out their capability to make war, so you go after their military assets and war production capabilities. or in the case of Israel, you destroy the homes of known terrorists, you destroy the places that terrorists hide in or use to store their weapons, etc. IMO it is much better to destroy buildings and homes than to blow up women and kids in market places but then again, I am just a civilized person who thinks deliberate murder of civilians is wrong. Silly me.
