I know this are Algebraic Expressions but I don't know what to do if the problems are with a bracket.4(e+5)-(e+9)+(e+7)6[n+(n-d)]-3[n-(n-d)]5(w?-6)-8[9-(w?+6)]and4{z-6(r-5)+8[z-2r+3(r-1)]}I need to know how since I have a test for this later on so please help me with this quickly (
i agree with RoSeS, but 6[n+(n-d)]-3[n-(n-d)] 6[2n-d]+3[d] ---- +3[d] instead of -3[d] 12n-6d+3d 12n-3d you can think of brackets as another form of parentheses. simplify what's within the brackets until you can't simplify anymore. then perform the operations after Parentheses in order. Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally Parentheses, exponents, multiplication/division, addition/subtraction
What grade are yu in? And for the first one are yu trying to figure out the value of e?
pemdas. parentheses, exponents, multiply and divide, and finally add and subtract, in that order
You can't solve them since they are not equations, but you can simiply them. All you need to know is to do the parenthesis first and then the brackets. Lastly combine like terms. 4(e+5)-(e+9)+(e+7) 4e+20-e-9+e+7 4e+18 6[n+(n-d)]-3[n-(n-d)] 6[2n-d]-3[d] 12n-6d-3d 12n-9d 5(w?-6)-8[9-(w?+6)] 5w?-30-8[9-w?-6] 5w?-30-72+8w?+48 13w?-54 4{z-6(r-5)+8[z-2r+3(r-1)]} 4{z-6r+30+8[z-2r+3r-3]} 4{z-6r+30+8z-16r+24r-24} 4{9z+2r+6} 36z+8r+24
