im trying to paint my room lime green but i dont know what goes with it if anyone knows a design please tell me so or if someone knows a color best with lime green
Ha! You'll start a fight with this question. The Spanish linguistics professor at my U asks this question of each Morphology class. The answer is very region specific. In Jalisco, MX, the small green limes are los limones and are everywhere and the larger yellow lemons are las limas and aren't commonly found except in big stores like WalMart.
In most Latin countries, what is called a lime in the USA is a limon. You don't see too many yellow larger lemons. The limon is very popular in Venezuela and is usually similar to a Key lime. I have heard yellow type lemons called limones amarillos. Also in some cases you will the word lima used.
I'm Mexican-American and live in Baja Mexico. Reading from the list of answers, Reynaldo is correct. Who ever gave him a thumbs down doesn't know the correct answer. Lime is limón and Lemons aren't common in Latin America. The closest thing would be a Lima except a Lima is sweet and not sour. Not many yellow lemons around here. God bless.
Lime is called limón everywhere. In Spain lemons are called limón. In Mexico lemon is called limón eureka or limón italiano.
