I just purchased a used Beretta 96f in the inox finshI have been reading alot of forums about them and the majority of people dont like them muchPersonally i think they look greatThe DA trigger pull is alittle heavy but not unbearable and the SA trigger seems quite niceIve out about 1500 rounds thru it and had no problems yet also is more accurate then my glock 23I was dissapointed wtih the low factory mag capacity but found that mec-gar offers a 13 and 15 round mag for the 96 (in my opinion the mec-gars are higher quality than factory anywayI was hoping to get ur opinion on the 96F and aslo wanted to know why people bag on the .40 cal ammuntion, the american made berettas, and alluminum framed handgunsThanks alot ur input is well apreciated.

the only thing I have against a 96F is the 10-11 rnd mag capacity in such a large 40 cal pistol but as you said mec-gar makes great mags although I didn't know anyone made a 15 rounder, unless it's extended like the 20 round 9mm mags? The only thing bad about aluminum framed guns is when they are made with poor heat treat or otherwise soft alloys that crack over long term useand the reputation thing might be from what the military berettas got when we bought magazines from the low bidder instead of berettas and the finish caused problems with feeding in dusty conditionsand there are the people for whom a 45 is the only caliberTo think about using any other is blasphemy.
