What does the brake drum have? How do you distinguish the brake drum or the brake disc?
The brake disc does not seem as easy to grip as the brake drum, so they provide better directional stability when parking. Unlike closed drum brakes, the brake disc is open, which has both advantages and disadvantages.
Brake discs were once used in aircraft and industrial applications. The friction material (brake pads) clamps the rotating brake pads by applying hydraulic pressure applied to the brake caliper.
Adhesive or rivet friction material on the brake shoe blocks the inside of the brake drum, slowing down the brake drum and axle, and then the old car stops - if it goes well!
In the brake drum, the hydraulic pressure is applied to the piston, and the piston rolls out the curved brake shoe.
