Question:

what factors affect the rate at which ice melts size, shape, additives?

I need to know if it all of them or just one?

Answer:

All of them. The size because the total amount of heat you need is determined by the mass of the ice in total. The shape because how fast you can get heat to the ice is a function of the surface area to volume ratio. Shapes with a lot of surface area for a given volume will melt faster than sperical or spheroidal shapes (spheres have a minimum surface area to volume ratio). Additives since you can have a freezing point depression with some additives. However, keep in mind that when water freezes it tends to expel things that are not water from the ice so additives have less effect that mass and shape. Google brine rejection seawater ice for more information on this.
your not hardly gonna see a increase with just a intake all the ads and stuff ppl say is a lie
Stand back 10 feet and check if the ************ is leaking near the gas tank.
if you're having that kinda problem i'd say trash the new air intake and put the old one in.
