Question:

What flex should I use for my hockey stick?

I am thinking of getting a one95. I want to get a 77 flex (senior) Malkin curve. Should I stick with intermediate? I broke three 70 flex Int. Warrior Dolomites. What flex should I get?

Answer:

the stick did not break due to having a 70 flex it actually helps the duarability of the stick just think of a stick the one the is more stiff (more Flex) is easier to break then say a thin one that is flexable. A 100 flex will break a lot easier. unfortunatly now a days with all the carbon and one p[iece tech that is going on today the durability of sticks have decreased. I would ask how you broke the three sticks was it on a slap shot or were u working in the corner and slashed someone or someone got you. could be technique if its the slapper . I had a freind break a 195 in about 5 minutes and the replacement one piece that baueer sent in about a period and a hlaf here is a good link to a hockey forum follow the link to get to tthe message board search before you ask.
I recommended the One95 for you, so I might as well help you out here too.I agree with zapcity29, it all depends on your size and such, but I have an 87 flex (I'm 5'8, 148), and it flexes plenty when you load it up, but yet still feels pretty sturdy.
I think metal ones look fine. To me I think anyone with braces looks good because they are trying to get their teeth fixed so thats good.
How old are you? How tall are you? How much do you weigh? What level do you play at? Three broken sticks over what period of time? The above info should factor into your size choice. Nonetheless, if you snapped 3 intermediate sticks in a season or less, it may be time to step up to a senior shaft dimension.
