Question:

what fuel additive really works?

I have a 5.4 liter v8 ford 4x4 08 model

Answer:

Chevron Techron is very good but 3M-Total Fuel System Cleaner is a little stronger and better. NAPA and Carquest has it. There is 16 oz. in a 3-M bottle to be dumped in a tank with little or no gas. Fill the tank with 13-14 gallons of fuel and plan on an extended highway jaunt to get the best cleaning effect. Seafoam is a joke!
ok, on the issue of gasolines, when it comes to additives, you get the bare minimum, if you get really any. Shell, Texaco, Gulf all use fraudulant advertising to get you to buy their gasolines. The only additives that Honestly work are: Techron Chevron fuel system cleaner, for your vehicle I reccomend the 20 oz bottle, also use water remover, gas stations get water passed to them by way of their deliveries and condensation that occures while standing in the cold earth underground.
What do you want it to work for? take carbon out or take water out or what? I would use the Techron. I've heard talk show hosts, like click and clack advertise it. Most of the time you put something in your tank its ALREADY in the gas at the pump so don't just add something because the bottle says you need ite.
