Question:

What happened to Hunter Mariners, Perth Reds, South Queensland Crushers and Adelaide Rams?

Why were they kicked out of rugby league ?

Answer:

When the ARL and Super League joined as the NRL many clubs were dropped, like Bill said.
Well when the super league ended, a lot more teams were in the NRL so some had to be dropped. The picked out less popular clubs and ones that were not willing to merge with others.
In response to a knight of blue red. Perth does have a large league following these days with a lot of people from NSW and Queensland moving over here. Unfortunately most of them are cockroaches, but one day soon we will have another team over here
Well the Hunter mariners could never survive in a town that hated them Perth, SQ and Adelaide simply did not perform well enough to survive, not to mention Perth and Adelaide were in AFL-dominated cities
They were the victims of the Super league war. They were all dropped after the warring parties came together again. They weren't the only casualties. North Sydney, Souths (for a while) were both given the boot. The Steelers were taken over by St George and Wests and Balmain merged.
