yesterday i stepped on a lime tree thorn so i yanked it off three hours later it still hurt so my mom got a needle and tweezers and only got brown stuff. now today it is still in pain and swollen a bit. what should i do?
two things to try 1/mix the salt with lemon/lime juice.after that, spread the salt out on a cookie sheet.set in a cool ,dry, place untill the salt drys out uld take awhile, according to how much juice you mix with it, so be patient. 2/dip the glass of choice in a mix of lemon/lime juice.dip glass in kosher salt.enjoy!! you could use just the zest for aroma and some flavoring, but if you are looking for the tartness of the fruit, then juice is best, because you wont get that with just zest. GOOD LUCK!
don;t use juice, use the zest. (zest is the colored part of the peel) you can remove it with a zester (or course) but you can also use a vegetable peeler or a cheese grater. If you use a peeler, you'll need to chop up the zest after it's removed. mix the chopped zest with the salt, let it infuse for a few days. you might want to dry it out, as the salt will pull the moisture out of the zest. you could also dry the zest out on a cookie sheet for a day or two and then add it to the salt. good luck
1 lemon , 1 lime 3 table spoon salt Peel the skin off the lemon and lime ( remove all the white colour skin ), put everything into grinder, and grind it well.. you can store in the fridge and keep it for 2-3 weeks.
