Most of the gas will be carbon dioxide, and solid carbon soot. Some plastics contain cyanide and can be released when burned. Plastics should be recycled, not burned. Even if you have a mask on, the gasses escape and enter the environment. They may not directly effect you, but may effect the plants, animals and humans nearby.
