siting on a roof and the wire is running into the house, what if you touch it?
is the other wire grounded or not?
It depends on the wire. If it is athe AC power to your house, it could be dangerouse if there is a break in the insulation on the wire. If it is phone or cable it is is pretty benign.
You could get a shock or die. It depends on the insulation, if any, on the wire, and if your body is touching something grounded, like a TV antenna. .
Those electrical thick wires were some insulated high grade plastic jacket wire. Electricity is blocked from leaking by the plastic sleeve. I see no danger to touch those plastic wire. They also has a bare copper wire for grounding. It is also safe to touch the ground wire.
better use a tester to fin out where is the leakage of current,or else touch u r self,and feel,if its more that 220V AC then u r gone,
