Question:

What is a good keyboard for beginners?

I was wondering what is keyboard to start off with. I'm 14 btw, if that matters lol. But anyways I very interested in playing the keyboard. What is a good keyboard to start off with? I really do t want a keyboard that sounds crappy youvknow just s nice decent one. ThanksHappy New Years Eve :)

Answer:

I recommend a keyboard with full-size, piano-weighted keys. That way as you learn, you'll also get a feel for the piano. It may be a little more expensive, but you won't grow out of it. The Casio PX130 Privia is a good example of this. Whatever keyboard you get, just make sure it has MIDI OUT so that you can connect it to a computer when you get more advanced. That way you can use the keyboard as a MIDI controller--controlling the sound patches and sequencing software in your computer. Then the sound possibilities are endless. Because of this, the built-in sounds and recording abilities of the keyboard by itself aren't really that important.
