Question:

What is a good material act as an adhesive and fill a gap between metal and bamboo tubing?

I'm doing some DIY construction and plan to build a go kart frame out of bamboo and metal (either aluminium or steel) tubesThe plan is to insert the bamboo tubes inside slightly larger metal tubesBecause bamboo always has more tolerance with regards to it's diameter than metal, I plan to use metal tubes with an inner diameter a bit larger the reported diameter of the bamboo. For example, if the the bamboo has a reported diameter of 1.25quot;, the metal tube I would want to insert it in would be about 1.35quot;.I'm looking for a material that is:1Lightweight2Able to fill the gap between the bamboo and metal3Has some adhesive properties4Able to withstand vibrations over a long period of time. Some things I've looked at so far are: concrete mortar and high density polyurethane foam.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Answer:

Well pizza is tomato based, which are pretty acidicYou want a bran cereal or something.
its confusing to get low calorie fiber.apples, chick peas and different beans and nutstry having a stable cereal with oats and finished grains and a fiber booster sprinkled in like psyllium husk flax seed and chai.
the key is that the adhesive cannot dry brittleso your expanding poly-foam will work, as would an epoxy adhesive like shoe-goo or concrete-to-concrete or concrete-to-metal epoxyother epoxies like super-glue/crazy glue dry too brittle for your application[btw, what you're doing is very clever - using long fiber grass to provide tensile strengthif you think about it, you're basically reinventing fiberglass - bamboo fibers embedded in epoxyBut just make sure your bamboo is nice and dry (maybe dry it out by holding it over hot charcoal first) - and is not green or still bearing moisture or you're gonna cry later.]
