I have a pug that sheds constantly and I have gone through a few vacuum cleaners.
They Dyson Animal is perfect, but the price is not. I have the Dirt Devil Pet. It does a fairly decent job, and it has to clean up after a few Rottweilers, so I would think it could do a decent job cleaning after your pug.
Dyson animal vacuum cleaner is a good choice
I've found its better to invest in a high quality vacuum than to just keep buying cheap ones. I have a Dyson Pet Hair vacuum and it works great. It's out lasted all my other vacuums.
Dyson. You can't beat a Dyson when it comes to picking up pet hair. It will cost you probably at least $400 but you won't have to replace it for a good long while. I spent well over the $500 my Dyson cost me on 3 vacs in 5 years. My Dyson is going on its 5th year now and hasn't cost me a dime and is still going strong. I actually enjoy vacuuming now-LOL.
I have a german shepherd/malamute mix who sheds 24/7 and I ended up getting a Dyson Animal vacuum cleaner. It was a little more expensive, but it was well worth the money. It never loses suction and it really gets all the hair up even the ones deep inside the carpet. I'd get another one in a minute. I've had mine now for almost 4 years and it works as well now as it did the day I bought it. No filters to change, no bags to worry about, easy to keep clean, and it looks nice too.
