Soldering a go cart FRAME will not work the loads will rip the joints apart.brazing requires an Oxygen acetylene torch and some zinc/aluminum rods that somewhat grip the two pieces however its just one step above solder and is not the bestSolid aluminum rods and oxy/acet gas welding is next in line.then there is mig (metal inert gas) a shielded gas flux with wire filler.then best of all is TIG or tungsten inert gas which requires pure argon for the flux and a DC welder preferably a HF for starting the puddleAluminum frames are a really tough job both in construction and in the designMight i suggest a Steel tubing Cr-Mb and a wall of about .035 use a mig welder (borrow one) and a filler wire that has about a 70k psi tensileIn this Business neatness counts so practice on something before you start the real welding jobGo to your library ,,yea they still have them and get a Lincoln welding book on how to weld structural joints .its full of pictures and hints and is really a good place to start.Have a good one from the E.
