what do you do with it,what is the routine
Flue gas analysis is the measurement of flue gases coming out of a boiler, this shows if your appliance is burning safely and how eff your appliance is working, it is very important if you have a condensing boiler that it is tested every 12 months as condensing boilers can easily produce carbon monoxide if they are not serviced every 12 months
Its not just on a combi boiler its on any fuel burning appliance. All fuel burning appliances produce carbon monoxide easily as it was put even when burning properly but its the amount they can produce if not routinely checked. With boilers a gas analyser will give you the efficiency of the boiler and the amounts of various products of combustion. With modern condensing boilers most of them need to have a gas analyser to actually set the correct pressures on the gas valve.Different appliances have different routines so its not possible to be specific but generally the appliance is run for a few minutes to allow it to warm up and a flue gas analyser is deployed into the products of combustion for a period of time to allow readings to be taken of these products and depending on the results the relevant actions can be taken.
A gas analyser is fitted to the throat of the boiler where you will see an acess point for it. By analysing the by products of combustion from the boiler, and engineer can tell if any adjusments to the gas jets is requiered and the boiler is running correctly. This is normally checked when the boiler is serviced.
