For the best answers, search on this site https://shorturl.im/avLGk I think most of the plastic foam core boards are translucent, but not sure, so wouldn't work well when you're trying to block out light. The regular foam-core boards might be opaque enough though, especially the dark ones. And corrugated cardboard would be pretty opaque if not totally opaque (or layer and glue two pieces together). You can buy various kinds of foam-core board in art supply stores, and even some in craft or Target-type stores. There are also light-blocking plastic (roller-type) shades you might want to get instead (Target, Sears, Home Depot, etc), or you could even cut off and glue a section of one of those rolls onto your foam-core sheet. Or you could paint one of those translucent things or even perhaps fabric with an opaque paint, or glue on a sheet of opaque vinyl if you can find it at a fabric store, etc. Home Depot type stores should also have things like drywall, acoustical tile sections, synthetic paneling, etc, that could be cut to the right size/shape. Or you could buy one of those emergency blankets for the car or something similar ...the blanket thingie should be opaque? HTH, Diane B.
