An aluminum tube is 3.0000 m long at 20°C.a)What is its length at 72.0°C?b)What is its length at -4.0°C?
you really call in a professional to have a look at it
It sounds like the vent duct for your fan has a leak that is pushing moisture down the wallsThat would be the first thing I would look for Insulation will cover the fan, that is properWhat is important is the condition of the duct work from the fan to the outside Also you need to figure out how to dry that wall out.
Looks and sounds like your bathroom fan is not properly vented to the outside of the buildingThis needs to be checked as soon as you canIf the moisture is going into your attic your going to have bigger problems with black mold growing on your roof trusses this is not good If there was a round insulated duct work from your fan to the outside of your home it may have fallen off and must be repairedThis can cause serious structural damage .Get It Fixed !
Obviously there is a moisture leak somewhereThe duct from the fan to the outside is your likely culpritCheck and see if it is compromised, if it is- change it out It is proper for insulation to cover the duct and the fan unit itselfWhat troubles me is the amount of moisture u are describing.I would check the air flow in your atticProper air movement through attic space should help to dry up moisture caused by a standard bath fan, as well as non-excessive condensation While an air leak in the bathfans duct work is likely your culprit, I would look at air flow in attic ( soffits to roof vents breathing properly). Also should check insulation level to make sure condensation is not your problemI will add that all of these areas of trouble probably should have been identified during a routine home inspectionDid u have an inspection done prior to purchasing the house? It just seems like allot of moisture to me to come from a bath fan duct ALSO- there are chemicals to kill mold(Moldex, etc) aside from that, disturbing mold spores can be dangerousUse a mask/ resperator when cleaning up or doing any demo Hope this helps
