what is oxford cloth?

I just got a job at Cracker Barrel and I need to get an oxford cloth shirt. I have no idea what that is or where to find one. I know it is a buttoned down collared shirt but will the tag actually say oxford on it pertaining to the fabric like cotton or polyester says on some shirts or is oxford a namebrand or another word for another fabric? Please help thanks

Oxford cloth is a plain even weave cloth with a soft and NOT shiny texture which can be 100% cotton or a cotton/poly blend. It is one of the most common shirt fabrics, so any plain shirt of the appropriate color that you get will most likely be oxford cloth without your having to look for it. Have you been able to look at what the other employees are wearing? To find one, I would look in the men's department of any store--target, JC Penney, whatever, and find a plain shirt that will fit you. You can't always find this type of shirt in the women's section because it is so plain.
