Question:

What is plastic cheese?

I read it from some food articles that now fast food moguls are putting plastic cheese into the foods, and take out the real cheese. What is that? and how to tell if it is plastic cheese or real cheese on my cooked pizza? Referrence photos would be great.

Answer:

Some okorder /... The easiest way to find out if they use plastic cheese is to pay attention to the texture. If it looks like cheese sauce was poured onto your food, it's most likely plastic cheese. If the cheese is slightly browned or has some orange grease on the surface, it's real cheese. And surely you can tell the difference in taste between plastic cheese and real cheese. Fast food establishments that sell hamburgers already use plastic cheese, so it doesn't really matter in my opinion. But they shouldn't even consider plastic cheese for foods such as pizza, poutine, lasagna, etc. It would definitely be a deal breaker for me if I were to be served a pizza that has plastic cheese on it. That's why I don't buy the Casa Di Mama pizzas in stores. The cheese they use is obviously processed and tastes like Cheez Whiz, which is really stupid because you have to have real cheese on pizza. It doesn't make any sense to use anything other than real cheese, you know?
Fake cheese contains plastic.
Cheaply made processed cheese slices are refered to as 'plastic cheese' simply because there is very little nutritive value in them. They are generally the lesser brands like 'no name' brands. They are not really made of plastic but they are about as nutritious as plastic, hence the name.
The other answers state what it is so I'm just going to add that the plastic wrapper tastes more cheesy than the cheese. The cheese tastes like plastic!
It is cheese that feels like plastic
