What is silicon steel and what kinds do they have?
Silicon steel is a silicon iron alloy with silicon content of about 3%~5% and other major iron. Divided into oriented silicon steel and non oriented silicon steel, it is an important soft magnetic alloy in electric power, electronics and military industry.
The most important use of cold rolled oriented silicon steel strip is used for transformer manufacture, so it is also called cold-rolled transformer silicon steel. Compared with cold rolled non oriented silicon steel, the magnetic properties of oriented silicon steel have a strong directionality, and it has high permeability and low loss in the direction of easy rolling. The orientation of strip in the rolling direction of the iron loss is only transverse 1/3, the permeability ratio was 6:1, the iron loss is about 1/2 hot rolled, the permeability is 2.5 times of the latter.
The most important use of cold-rolled non oriented silicon steel sheet is used for generator manufacture, so it is also called cold-rolled steel silicon steel. Its silicon content of 0.5%-3.0%, cold-rolled to the finished product thickness, the supply of mostly 0.35mm and 0.5mm thick steel strip. The Bs of cold-rolled non oriented silicon steel is higher than that of oriented silicon steel. Compared with hot rolled silicon steel, it has uniform thickness, high dimensional accuracy, smooth and smooth surface and improved filling coefficient and magnetic properties of the material.
Hot rolled silicon steel sheet is melting Fe-Si alloy with open hearth furnace or electric furnace, repeatedly rolled into sheet, finally made at 800-850 DEG C after annealing. Hot rolled silicon steel sheet is mainly used in the manufacture of generator, so it is also called hot rolling motor and silicon steel sheet, but its utilization rate is low and energy consumption is great. The high magnetic induction cold rolled silicon steel strip is a single oriented steel strip. It is mainly used in the manufacture of various electromagnetic components such as transformers and chokes in the telecommunication and instrument industry. The application has two main features, one is that the small current condition of weak magnetic field, the requirements of the material has in the weak magnetic field within the range of high magnetic properties, high value and high 0 mu B; the second characteristic is the use of high frequency, usually in more than 400Hz, even up to 2MHz. In order to reduce the eddy current loss and the effective permeability under alternating magnetic field, the thin strip of 0.05-0.20mm is usually used.
