Lime sulfur spray or lime paint? Lime paint is not used on plants! It is used on walls, stucco, etc. Lime sulfur spray is a legitimate fungicide and insecticide.......usually used as a dormant plant spray, but can be used in season..........with caution. In no way should one mix lime sulfur fungicide with horticultural oil, or any oil and apply to tree. If you just have lime sulfur, it's not the end of the world. If it is lime paint, I hope the bark is thick because on a thinner it could burn the bark which in turn will damage the wood/phloem layer below and that's bad. Yeah, we get folks from down south who believe all trees need to have white trunks, not understand why and where it is used, it is not universal for tree health y. If just paint......it can always be over sprayed with latex paint in appropriate colors.........but with lime sulfur....I'd hhesitate
