what is the additive inverse of -ab?
+ab Additive inverse must result to ZERO when added to -ab So, -(a x b) + (a x b) 0 -(2 x 3) + (2 x 3) -(6) + 6 0 I hope that's clear! Cheers!
A tire plug is a tire plug. They work on mostly everything. I'm sure you can use them until you get a new tire.
the additive inverse is whatever adds to the given thing to make 0. ab+(-ab)0, so the additive inverse of -ab is ab.
Ummmm. +ab? I'm assuming that b is positive here because you didn't ask for the additive inverse of -(ab). You asked for -ab. Which would be a negative a times a positive b making -ab a negative number. Therefore the additive inverse would have to be the positive opposite. Maybe I'm over thinking this. Math was never my forte.
I do it all the time if there is more than 50% tread life left on the tire. I will replace it if there is already a plug in it.
