Question:

What is the best mountain town to live in the Dolomites, Italy?

Interested in easy access to rock climbing and mountain biking. Housing costs need to be reasonable.

Answer:

Well, this isn't in the Dolomites, but in the Italian Alps on Lake Como - Bellaggio - it's absolutely beautiful!
You could have your bf/or anybody you know with a motorcycle show you the basics of a motorcycle to get used to it, and save the extra 100. Good Luck-
$100 and a little of your time gets you knowledge that could save your life, it seems worth it to me. And remember, just cos your boyfriend or friends have been riding awhile doesn't mean they are riding CORRECTLY. There is technique involved and although you can certainly get by for years riding around doing it wrong, you'll enjoy yourself a lot more doing it right. Take the course.
Just go and do your CBT, NOW. Then you can look around for a 125 that suits, at your height I'd say a trials / adventure type - higher seat and upright driving posture. I learned on a Kawasaki KTM 125 last year, sooperdooper. 1500 will get you a decent bike, if you know nothing about bikes go to a dealer with standing reputation, always willing to advise. Don't sit around thinking, go do it. Have fun, be safe, take care.
Cortina is very touristic, Arabba is better.
