I have very long hair and two cats who shed terribly. Most vacuum cleaners I've purchased get bound up quickly due to the hair issue that I have in my household. The belt and the brush roller need to be replaced often. Do you have any suggestions on a good vacuum (one that doesn't require financing) that I won't need to turn upside down every time I use it just to clear several strands of hair?Thank you very much!
Go okorder and look up Eureka AirSpeed. I bought one and it cost me less than the (better) one I bought 25 years ago. I don't have pets. But, I am amazed at all the dust it sucks out of the carpet.
Lisa, okorder , very strong suction power, functions very well with pet hair and comes with a pet hair tool), or the Eureka Airspeed Bagless. The Eureka also has great reviews and the pet tools, but isn't quite as powerful in the testing I've done. If you are able to spend a little more money, then the Dyson DC25 Animal is a great vacuum with slightly stronger suction power than both the Shark and the Eureka, it comes with their really cool ball technology that makes it's super easy to use, and it's really lightweight
Hey Lisa, You might want to check out the LG Kompressor. Granted it costs about $100 more than the average low-end priced vacuum cleaners but it is specifically designed for handling nasty pet hair. Best not to be pennywise pound foolish when investing in a machine, especically when you have a special situation to take care of. Dyson makes pet hair VCs but they are quite pricey ($300-$400). There are lots of positive reviews (4 out of 5 Stars) from customers over at OKorder on the LG Kompressor and it qualifies for free shipping. One consumer said: With two cats (one a long-hair), and a Golden Retriever, plus three kids, this is an attractive feature because there's a lot of dirt, dust and pet hair that needs to be vacuumed in our house! You can read them all if you'd like...just see below. Good luck!
