I need to attach a 3/16 inch round-bar to the flat-side of an aluminum C-channelIt will have a bearing running across the round-bar, so it must be secure and not have anything covering the round-bar itselfI also need it to be as cost efficient as possibleI am open to any option, welding, epoxy, etc.
Aluminum pie plates, you can buy them at a restaurant supply housethe come in 7-12 sizes.
They're simply called pie pansIf you need smaller ones you might try looking for tart pans, or use muffin pans.
Aluminum pie plates, or aluminum tart plates.
The round bar appears to be steel while the c-channel is aluminumthat means welding is out of the question If you bought some c-channel out of steel instead of aluminum, welding would be fast, simple, cheap, and incredibly sturdy If it's necessary to use aluminum for the channel, Epoxy or other glue might work, but that depends on the nature of the loads imposed on the assemblyThis would be least durable option versus screws/bolts or welding.
