Question:

What is the best way to manage Inventory in a small manufacturing business?

We are a small manufacturing business where all our inventory comes in and is then used to make an assembly and then shipped out to our customers. We are trying to determine how much inventory we need based off of orders coming in. Is there a system we can use that we can input the orders and it generate a list of the parts and how many we would need to make that order up? Can we use Microsoft Access for this or do we need an actual inventory control software/program to do this?

Answer:

Exceptance and tolerance- thats what i got out of it It was well written- very good job! :)
We love our wives, but they gotta let us watch football. Afterwards, we'll love them more (depending on whether our team wins or not).
OK, here we go. If the opener is new I will guess it is a Chamberlain. If not let me know. In the Chamberlain unit if the opener senses an obstruction while going down it will reverse and go back up. The obstruction can be real, (annoying kid) or imagined by the opener. (door force to close set too light) If the door is going up and senses one of these obstructions the door will stop. Now please read carefully. If your door is going down and senses an obstruction it will reverse. When it reverses it starts back up. If at that point your door force to open is set to light the door will stop and stay stopped. If you then push the button the door will start down again. Your opener is probably thinking the jerk it gets when it reverses as an obstruction. Just try increasing the door force to close a bit. Try nothing else for the moment. Ideally you want both forces set as light as possible and still run the door.
This is nicethat's how I felt after reading it - nice, calm, content - like this couple. They have ups and downs, they have their moments but it's ok, and your poetic telling makes me want a blanket like that one! Seriously, it's lovely.
