what is the diff between silo(storage bin) and day bin?

Answer:

in dairy farming a silo is like a huge big tin thing that holds around 20 tons of dry food this is then used to take food from but a day bin (i think ) is the bit that the animals are fed from or at leasst the bit before the bit they feed out of not sure but hope it helps :)
I know it does suck I just found out about the CD delay last night =( But I can wait they need a break, they toured so much and all and I hope them stalkers stop they suck so much, also Cinema Bizarre has delayed there CD to August cause of illegal downloading of there song My Obsession.
Day bin is also just like a silo.Difference is just like that is between check tank and day tank! I think it comes with bin activator/gyrator for free flowing of material.
Silo Bin
In any bulk handling system normally you would have a large receiving bin which could store multiple loads of trucks, rail cars or what ever means of delivery is used. The material is then transferred into a smaller more manageable bin which may be controlled by weight or volume. The term day bin comes from what normally be used in a day. Archaic term. The more common term today is referred to as a use bin. It's just a more manageable size located close to the demand point.
