are their any other sports that use the term draw?
Aye, they've already explained. My bracket was full of fat losers with no backhands, so I made it all the way to the semi-final of the draw. I've never heard bracket myself though, just section. Like, oh ****, that 6'4 russian transexual is in my section of the draw! edit: atom, that diagram is really pretty, have a thumbs up
a bracket is what the draw is written on. in other words, its not a draw without any players on it.its just a bracket.when you put players onto the bracket, it becomes the draw
It's not necessarily wrong, it's just that a bracket is a section of the draw. For example, these are the current quarterfinalists in the Australian Open: ______________________ Federer Davydenko ______________________ Djokovic Tsonga ______________________ Roddick Cilic ______________________ Murray Nadal ______________________ Each one is part of a bracket, and the two winners from the top and bottom half move on to the semifinal bracket.
