What is the difference between iron pellets and agglomerates?

I found this definition: Pellets are comprised of ore that has been agglomerated into balls.so I was wondering if they‘re in fact the same thing.

In this case, the pellets formed are an agglomeration, since they are an assemblage of different things. Look at the link below concerning taconite and making of pellets from that iron ore. But the term pellet refers more to a physical shape than a chemical property. You can have pellets formed that are not agglomerations, made from a single substance, like wood pellets, for example.
