What is the difference between linen and satin for a wedding table and chair cover?

I need to know is satin and linen are the same or they‘re different? Because my wedding decorater dont have ivory linen table cover she jus have white linen can i used the white or try and find the ivory but all im getting is ivory satin!!!Please help
