ok so my chemistry book wants me to use the electron transfer method to balance the equation involving the reaction of aluminum to hydrochloric acid to produce aluminum chloride and hydrogen gasonly thing is i cant understand the stuff in my book.it is SO confusing! if someone could explain this to me in terms i can understand instead of putting it on college level, i would appreciate it.
u should try exercising daily.

Electron transfer (ET) is the process by which an electron moves from one atom or molecule to another atom or moleculeET is a mechanistic description of the thermodynamic concept of redox, wherein the oxidation states of both reaction partners changeuse the atom carbon 12, if u add an electron which is a neative one charge, you must then use the atom sodium 11 to keep the sides balanced ca 12 + beta -1 - na 11
