What are they fighting and dieing for? Most people I have asked believe their goal is to convert all the world to Islam. I doubt this is the case since I do not think many people will agree with the ideologies of those who want to hurt their countrymen. The reason for this lapse I keep hearing is that they want to kill all those who will not convert. The futility of this objective should be obvious to pretty much everyone, though. Far from plausible enough for Islamic terrorist leaders to send thousands of their followers to their deaths. There have to be other reasons. I know it has to be a mental failing on my part that I do not understand these reasons. There has to be some information I am lacking, or a way of thinking that is just plain alien to me. What do they gain from this? Or, what do they believe they can gain from it? This question is not meant as a generalization of Muslims. I know most are peaceful. I simply want to know what these extremists are dieing for.
Islamic traditions represent some where around 20 percent of the worlds population. They are probably the largest religion but are considered the 2nd largest to Christianity. Islam is growing at about 3 percent a year, which is faster than the world population and attracts more people than any other religion.With these facts in tow, you now can take a percentage of the above (unknown), they despise anyone that doesn't believe in their religion. We call them fanatics (islamonazi, islamic fanatics, terrorist). Their methods of convincing the world that their God (Allah) is the only God and teachings should be followed by their interpretation. The Taliban in Afghanistan are a good example, if a man steals cut off his hand and so on. As to your question; what do they want: They want what Allah has instructed them to do, that is, kill the infidels (that's you by the way). It really couldn't be more simple to understand. They have a fanatical belief in their religion and believe it is up to them to change the world. The West is a particularly desirable market for them due to our evil ways (we call it freedom, they call it sin).

And yes they want all to convert to Islam and I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this but it is NOT a peaceful religion.those who say this have not read the ENTIRE koran. You see when Mohammad first started he WAS peacefully trying to convert the Jews to Islam (the first part of the koran), however when they refused.he got UGLY (the last part of the koran) and said that 'if' there were any differences between the earlier and latter (or newer) part of the koran that the latter (or newer) part should be what is followed. In the latter part of the koran is where we find the 'kill the infadels.etc.and there in lies the issues that we have today. Those that are called extremists are the ones that ARE following what the koran REALLY DOES SAY! Don't believe what you've been spoon fed.read for yourself and it is there.
