What is the purpose of measuring the DC resistance of windings?
Whether the transformer winding is measured or the DC resistance of the motor winding
Its purpose is usually:1. Check the welding quality of winding joint and whether there is turn to turn short circuit;2. How is the position of the tap switch in good contact and whether the actual position of the tap changer is in accordance with the indicated position?;3 、 whether the lead line is broken or not;4 、 whether the winding of multiple strands and winding is broken or not.
DC resistance measurement of transformer winding is to check the winding joint welding quality and no winding inter turn short circuit phenomenon; voltage switch contact points in each position is good and the actual position is consistent; DC high voltage lead wire has no fracture, multi wire and winding strand broken etc.. When the transformer is in the overhaul or after the change of the joint position, the DC resistance tester or the outlet fault is shorted, the DC high voltage generator needs to measure the DC resistance of the winding along with the bushing.
