What is the touch pad of a laptop computer?
The touch pad is used to learn the movement of the fingers by capacitive sensing, which is not sensitive to the heat of the fingers.
When the finger touches the board surface, the electrostatic field on the panel will change. The touch pad sensor is just a finger track conduction path printed on the board surface.
It works by changing the capacitance when the user's finger touches the touchpad, and the touch pad's own control IC detects the amount of capacitance changed into coordinates.
