What is virgin aluminum? I can't find anything about it, is it just another word for aluminum? Is there a difference?
virgin aluminum is, aluminum that has not been printed on, mixed with other metals etc. It is simply a more pure form of aluminum and will net more upon resale to a junkman
Aluminum that contains no recycled aluminum.
pure aluminum that has never been recycled. it must be 100% and contain no recycled filler. in the 80's a lot of car manufacturers advertised it was used, as some people thought rust could live in aluminum and survive the recycling process. dumb anuses, it's not the aluminum that rusts. just a thought but try googling ipsco steel or hudson bay mining and smelting. something sounds like alumicor would be the best but i don't recall the name.
The word virgin means pure and free from any other metals but aluminium comes in a few different forms like stainless steel does so unless you know the originallity of pure aluminium I doubt if you will ever know Ask the person who is selling virgin aluminium he will instruct you how to find out what the difference is all metals come in different gauges so there must be some unanswered questions
Manufacturers mix other metals and alloys with aluminum to make it stronger. Virgin aluminum is aluminum that has not had ant thing added to it. Aluminum ore, called bauxite, is most commonly formed in deeply weathered rocks. In some locations, deeply weather volcanic rocks, usually basalt, form bauxite deposits. Uses for Aluminum Aluminum has a wide range of common uses. It is lightweight, strong (especially with alloys), and conducts heat well. Many kitchen items (pots and pans, foil, dishes) are made of aluminum. Most materials used for transportation use large amounts of aluminum: cars, trucks, boats, aircraft, and aircraft engines. Road signs and high-voltage power lines are also made mostly of aluminum. volcano.und.nodak.edu/vwdocs/mine...
