Question:

What is your opinion of hydrogen powered vehicles???

Are Fuel Cell Vehicles the future, or what do you suggest?

Answer:

Good in theory, but the technology is still a ways off. And currently, there isn't much of a clean way to produce hydrogen.
Good for the environment, good for your lungs and a big hole in your pocket.I rather choose a bicycle. It's cheaper and healthier.
H2 is eco friendly.major problem is being lightest element we can't store H2.so we have to think fuel cell research
It is a cool idea if we can make fuel cells cheap enough and if we can make hydrogen cheaply too. Hydrogen does not occur naturally like natural gas does, so we would have to make it. And to make it would require energy. So as a clean energy source, it doesn't work. But it is still a neat idea.
1) It would be less messy for the air. 2) It would not end oil dependency, since it takes a tremendous amount of electricity to separate hydrogen from water in the first place. 3) Chemical generation of the hydrogen would be environmentally dangerous at the levels needed. 4) If we ever get serious and develop a controlled fusion reaction, then fuel celled vehicles would definitely be the hot set-up. It's always worth experimenting with new ideas.
