Question:

What makes a microwave smoke?

I was warming some soup in my microwave then all of the sudden I heard a slight pop and alot of smoke came out so I turned on the vent - it was as if more smoke was produced once I turned the vent onThere was not any aluminum foil or utensils in the microwave and the soup was in a glass bowl.

Answer:

There are a couple of reasons why you microwave are smoking 1.It could just be food that is logged somewhere inside the cabinet and is been overcook every time you switch on the Microwave oven on or 2A loose terminal connection on your interlock switches 3Transformer busy packing upSee if the microwave paint flaked off; paint it again with anti-heat resisting epoxy or an alternate advised paintBurned deposits need to be scratched offClean the microwave properly and dont overcook the food Just replace the High Voltage Capacitor and High Voltage Diott IF ALL THE ABOVE DO NOT WORK JUST CALL PROFESSIONAL APPLIANCE REAPIR GUY.I would suggest you to go for dial and search.
