Answer:

People have been recycling for many years nowIt has caught on the fancy of the people now as it has been packaged differently with terms and figures.
It was thought about years agoEvery citizen did it during WWII and much of it mandatoryI have been doing it since the 70's along with many othersDue to people just being plain lazy, Styrofoam, and plastic discard-able containers used by the major fast food chains have had negative impactRecycling aluminum cans works in states that have a deposit law only because the lazy people want to get their money backI would like to see this country go back to the same practices it did during WWII.
People are becoming more aware of how important recycling is and how to lead a greener lifestyleNew and easier ways of recycling have been put into effect so I guess that's why more people are into itWe can't change the past so it's best to just move on and continue to try and make a positive impact on our environment.
My apartment complex does not allow any bottles, boxes or newspapers to go down the garbage chute, just garbageWe have to stack all newspapers, pizza boxes, any type of box including shoe boxes; also small electrical appliance boxes, and all soda bottles, whether glass or plastic, wine or beer bottles are stacked in the corner of the trash roomThese are then picked up every morning by the cleaning crewIt has certainly brought to my mind the value and necessity of recycling, especially since watching Planet in Peril with Anderson Cooper and Sanjay Gupta over the weekend! We don't need anymore dump sites to pollute our earth and our children, so all I can say is: Better late than never! I remember after WWII when many things we used were recycled, i.e., glass milk bottles went right back to the milkman for sterilization and reuse, we took the empty egg carton back to the market to put our newly-purchased eggs in, etcAfter several years when markets began carrying plastic milk cartons, they seemed to get thrown in with the trashIt seems that when tragedies happen, everyone works together, but too easily and too soon we forget when things get betterThis has just been human nature! But there is now no denying global warming! So please keep recycling, Earthlings!
You can use Reynold's non-stick aluminum foil (non-stick side on the pie crust) or waxed paper.
