Question:

what's strong enough to hold up a road sign in my room?

i'm putting up things on my walls, and i found a road sign on the side of the road. i want to hang it up, and have tried everything before i have to put a hole in the wall. does anyone know of anything i could use or do i have to use a nail?

Answer:

No. Smoke detects smoke, carbon dioxide (co2) detectors detect carbon dioxide, which is colorless and odorless, thus the danger of it. Maybe Walmart was sold out since a lot of people are conscious of it due to the news.
No, they are not the same thing. You need one that says Carbon Monoxide. You can have a carbon monoxide problem without having any smoke at all. . I have seen them at Walmart in the past. Perhaps they are all sold out?
They are different detectors, however, chief is right Kidde does produce a two in one detector. Home Depot does sell the unit for about $37.00. The website also has reviews of the product, many were favorable and claimed to be easy to use.
Major flaw 1: if you are acting like a trespasser and someone (like a neighbor or any intelligent person) sees you they will call the police. Major flaw 2: People who feel threatened often find a weapon to defend themselves which could lead to someone being hurt. Seriously, pranks like this aren't funny.
No Carbon monoxide detectors are not usually combined with smoke detectors also the placement of carbon monoxide detectors are crucial you. Usually you can find the kind that plugs into a outlet and you want it near a supply vent. You can also usually go to the local fire dept and inquire about carbon monoxide detectors. Around here they usually give them out free. We offer free carbon monoxide detectors with every furnace install. Also it is something I suggest for every furnace PM I do the cost is about $25.00 to $40.00 depending on the one the customer wants. Check Johnstone or another HVAC supply house if you cant find one at Wal Mart, Home Depot, or Lowes.
