What's the difference between stainless steel 302 and 304?
304 stainless steel is a widely used chromium - nickel stainless steel, as a widely used steel, corrosion resistance, good heat resistance, low temperature strength and mechanical properties; punching, bending and other thermal processing, non hardening heat treatment (use temperature of -196 to 800 DEG C). 302 stainless steel the carbon is relatively high (302 C = 0.15%; 304 C is less than or equal to 0.08%) and better strength. The other indicators are basically the same as those of 304.
304 is a versatile stainless steel which is widely used in the manufacture of equipment and parts requiring good overall performance (corrosion resistance and formability). 302 stainless steel is essentially a higher carbon content of 304 stainless steel varieties, through cold rolling can make it higher strength. Popular words: 302 to 304 corrosion resistance, the intensity is higher than 304, the price is cheaper than 304. (remember as if the gap of $1W per T) 302 stainless steel composition 0.15% carbon silicon manganese 2% 1% 0.045% 0.03% 8.0-10.0% phosphorus sulfur nickel chromium stainless steel 17.0-19.0% 304 0.03% 0.75% 2% components of carbon silicon manganese phosphorus sulfur nickel chromium 0.05% 0.03% 9.0-12.0% 18.0-20.0% LZ hope for some help.
Type 302 - 304 with corrosion resistance, due to the relatively high carbon intensity. Model 304 - general model: 18/8 stainless steel. GB is 0Cr18Ni9. 302 and 304 stainless steel is widely used in curtain walls, side walls, roofs and other building applications. These two, I think, are basically different. The quality and texture are almost the same.
302 stainless steel and 304 stainless steel are suitable for food processing, storage and transportation. It has good processability and weldability. Plate type heat exchanger, corrugated pipe, household appliances (1, 2 kinds of tableware, kitchen cabinet, indoor pipeline, water heater, boiler, bath), auto parts (windshield wiper, muffler, mold), medical appliances, building materials, chemical, food industry, agriculture, marine parts, millet mobile phone etc.. 304 stainless steel is a nationally recognized food grade stainless steel.
