Is the recessed lighting sort of a projected light to where the cans are pointed like miltiple spotlights throughout the room or will it light up the whole room like normal lighting would? I'm would like to add 4 recessed lights in my living room with a dimmer but I want it to light up normally. Is this possible? Ps, can I use the wiring that's already available or do I need to run new wires to the breaker box?
you are confusing track light with recessed lighting. Recessed lighting is recessed into your ceiling. You cannot see the lighting unit, as it is hidden. Track lighting is the opposite of that. Track lighting affixes to a mounted track fully visible usually on the ceiling, but could be on the wall as well. Track lights can be moved with relative ease and pointed in just about any direction. You can use existing wiring depending on the breaker size and amps pulled from other fixtures the circuit.
