When the current flows through the copper wire, a voltage drop is formed at both ends of the copper wire. This voltage drop provides a feedback type to the controller, so it cannot be replaced by a fuse.
Since the resistivity of the copper wire is higher than that of the fuse, and the melting point is higher than the fuse, the copper wire will not fuse as easily as the fuse.
