Here is the background info. my mum had left on job work for three days and left my 19 year old sister in charge and me and my brother are 15. What happened was that i was on the computor when my brother and his two mates came in and and they where watching tv. i heard thew sniggering and then i felt something hit me in the head and i looked and it was a football. I was annoyed so i kicked it at them. Then my brother stood up and pushed me. i pushed him and went to walk away but he threw me to the ground and started punchind me and stuff. then my sister heard and ran downstairs and pulled him of. while my sister was calming him down i ran over and punched him. then my brother hit my head on the door then i startem to cry. the thing is one of his mates got a video of it most of it is on his phone. What should i do

yes you should have a c.o. detecter..if the furnace malfunctioned or the vent pipe came apart,,some c.o. could come through the ductwork into the home,,not likely but possible..if you have a garage you have even more reason to get a c.o. detecter,but having gas heat is reason enough,they dont cost that much,,they also make combination c.o. / smoke detecters if you need another smoke detecter anyway..as far as c.o. detecters go,,i prefer the kidde brand over the first alert,,less false alarms.dan

yes you need a co detector your blower on the gas furnace pushes hot air thru your vents. if a clog or a burner problem starts up in your furnace the blower will also pump the co into your house thru your vents. tell your husband this or just go out and buy one yourself.
