Does anybody know why aluminum foil is shiny on one side and dull on the other?
Shiny side faces the food.
I think the non shiny side faces the food, thats how my mother did it. But its not safe to cook with this stuff.
The dull side, the same way it is removed from the box. The real question is what side of plastic wrap should touch food?
Unless you have aluminum foil that is designed specifically for the microwave, you're going to produce an amazing light show by nuking your foil! That, and blow out all of the fuses in the house, set the microwave on fire....the list goes on! But what a rush, ey? :)
